Lahinch Golf course,founded in 1892 has often been described as the "St. Andrew's" of Ireland.The original Lahinch links was laid out by Tom Morris. Alister MacKenzie who co-designed Augusta Golf Course redesigned and extended Lahinch Golf links in 1927.
